Internship Partners

Please see the tables below for current and/or previously used pre-arranged placement agency partners including private school, museum, religious organization, non-profit educational services, and environmental education options.  Internships must be through an approved agency with the Office of Teacher Education.  All internships must be approved prior to the start of the semester by the Educational Studies program coordinator, Dr. Rhett Hutchins.  State of Arkansas background checks may be required for individuals completing internships at locations serving populations of minors.

Jean Tyson Child Development Center is a family-centered program housed in a facility designed to provide for best practices in early childhood education and to enhance the learning experience for University students.

Wee Care Christian Preschool is an early childhood facility designed to support each child's unique ability to learn and grow in all areas of self: social, emotional, cognitive, phsyical, and spiritual.

 The 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) program supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for children, particularly students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools. The program helps students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math; offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement their regular academic programs; and offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children.

Bright Haven Christian Learning Center is an Arkansas Better Beginnings Level 2, quality – approved facility. BHCLC offers center – based learning through a variety of experiences that utilize appropriate developmental practices for the early childhood classroom. The implementation of emergent curriculum allows children to take ownership of their education and instills a firm sense of leadership, initiation and collaboration within the school family.
